Business and Marketing Teacher

Hello and Welcome to my portfolio!

I have taken a write up that was done about me and included it below to give an overview of my education and experience.  I am originally from Chippewa Falls, WI where I grew up in family businesses.

"Kelly has a BA in Economics with a Math minor and a MBA from Winona State University. Kelly attended classes, worked full time, coached athletics, and was a single mother throughout her college years. She started her professional career at Pella Windows as a manufacturing manager and transferred into a sales position in Los Angeles, CA. Her career in sales led to a position as sales manager with Cintas, The Uniform People, and later to Director of Sales responsibilities for Travelynx, an international central reservation service.
Following her time in Phoenix, Kelly was a Real estate agent and broker in the Branson, MO area where she also constructed log homes and condominiums. Throughout her career she has remained involved in teaching, serving as a graduate assistant, adjunct instructor, at both Western Technical College and Corinthian Colleges International (Now Everest), and eventually moving into a full time teaching position at Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa, Iowa. Following her first year of teaching Kelly joined a new initiative at the college to assist with Regional Economic Advancement and lead their efforts in Entrepreneurial engagement and education. During her time at Indian Hills, Kelly earned the designation, Certified Business Incubator Manager, and also completed all of the course work for her PhD and is now ABD. She moved back to Wisconsinin 2013 and spent fall semester 2013 teaching at Chippewa Valley Technical College as a full time management instructor.
In 2014 to 2015 as the Project Manager for UW Stout Kelly worked with the COM Connection newsletter, the Dean’s Executive Advisory Committee, the Cabot Executive in Residence program, as well as served as a liaison to other University departments and organizations. Kelly also taught courses in the School of Hospitality Leadership and continues to teach online courses. Kelly opened a bakery cafe in the summer of 2015 and operated that for 2 years until deciding to return to teaching on a full time basis.  Kelly is new to  Wausau East High School the 2017-18 school year."
