Wausau School District

Mrs. Savage

Hi!  My name is Mary Savage.  This is my 3rd year in the district.  Prior to the Wausau school District, I spent 6 years working in the Mosinee School District working with students with learning disabilities at the High School level.  I’ve had the pleasure to work in many co teaching environments within an English and mathematics classrooms.  I’ve also taught reading and math skills in a pull out environment.  I received my teaching license from UW-Stevens Point in January of 2012.

I am now working as a Special Education teacher for Horace Mann Middle School. Here I work with 6-8th grade students in the areas of math, writing, reading, behaviors and other needs. I work with students in small group settings of about five or fewer students and in the regular education classroom.

On a personal level my husband Jared and I have two children Madison and Mason.  As a family we enjoy the outdoors.  Two years ago we started to downhill ski together.  We also enjoy boating, swimming, and hiking.  In my free time I like to bake, garden and I’m trying my hand at crocheting.

I’m very pleased to be apart of the Wausau School District and Horace Mann Middle School. Looking forward to hearing from you.  Feel free to email me!

Virtual Learning:

I teach students according to their specific needs. Their specific needs are a guide to access curriculum in the areas of English Language Arts, Math, and Science. Virtual learning plans are created based on each individual student that I provide services to. During this temporary time of Virtual Learning students that I provide services in the platform, Google Classroom (class code:urzht5g) they can join and receive emails from me weekly. Please, continue to check emails and my Google classroom for updates and lessons.
